I study how the brain makes decisions, and what goes wrong in Parkinson's disease. I got my PhD in neuroscience at the University of Minnesota with David Redish. At Dartmouth I studied habits with Kyle Smith and spatial navigation with Matthijs van der Meer. Now I work with Richard Sun, a neurosurgeon at Dartmouth Hitchcock, recording from the subthalamic nucleus in mice. That is the main target for deep brain stimulation in Parkinson's patients.
