Margaret E. Spicer
Professor Emerita of Theater
Originally trained as a fashion designer at Garland Junior College in Boston and Moore College of Art in Philadelphia, Margaret Spicer was awarded a McKnight-Bush Fellowship in costume and scenic design at the University of Minnesota where she received her master of fine arts degree in 1972. Following the completion of her MFA degree, Margaret Spicer was a cutter/draper at the Guthrie Theatre, designer and costume shop manager at the Minnesota Opera Company and visiting designer at both the University of Vermont Theater Department and the Champlain Shakespeare Festival at UVM.
