William J. E. Ratoff
Postdoctoral Research Associate
My primary research interests lie in ethics and the philosophy of mind and of cognitive science, including their intersection. I have research interests in all branches of ethics – applied ethics, normative ethics, and the foundations of ethics. My current research projects center on various issues in the ethics and regulation of artificial intelligence, as well as on certain problems in moral psychology and normative ethics. With respect to the philosophy of mind and of cognitive science, I am currently working on issues in the philosophy of consciousness and the predictive processing model of the mind.
